We have used most types of editors for the design
and publication of web sites.
Macromedia Dreamweaver
is still our staple work horse.
Now that it has been merged with Adobe, we have
let our updates lapse. The software is way too
difficult to use for beginners.
Mozilla has continued
with its tradition of providing good freeware. The latest for us is SeaMonkey. This combination
browser, IRC chat utility, email and Newsnet, and
address book program also contains an easy to use
Web Design/editor. We have built one really good
web site with it using a template and it worked very
well.
While we design, register
and publish domains, we keep track of our work
with another freeware utitility, EPIM. It is our
Calendar, email package and Address book.
